About this Position

Primarily responsible for reviewing all charges and fee estimates, discussing
payment policy with clients and collecting additional deposits when charges exceed
original fee estimate. Responsible for greeting clinic clients, admitting/dismissing
patients and collecting payment for services. Schedules appointments, answers
phones, and communicates necessary messages to faculty/clinicians.

Required Qualifications

  • High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • High school/GED and 1 year of clerical/customer service experience. Post-secondary education may substitute for years of required experience.

  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

    Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as organization
    skills, ability to handle/reconcile payments received for services and multi-line phone
    skills. Must have MS Office experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School/GED
  • Eight years’ experience in a medical or veterinary client service role. Four years’
    experience in billing/cash handling. Completion of at least two on-campus or online
    customer service focused training courses. Certified Veterinary Receptionist (CVR)
    from the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA).
