About this Position

The Parking Maintenance Lead maintains and enhances parking facilities managed by Parking Services. This position performs hands‑on maintenance work, including repairing parking assistance devices, cleaning parking facilities, and performing minor equipment servicing. As a working lead, the role provides day‑to‑day task direction and on‑the‑job training to temporary employees, ensuring proper equipment use and safe work practices.

Required Qualifications

  • High School/GED(degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Two years of experience in general trades, maintenance, or a related facilities field.

  • Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

    Have, before hire and maintain after hire, a valid driver’s license. A valid driver’s license must be maintained for the operation of an OSU vehicle, which is required to perform the job duties as assigned

  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
    • Knowledge of general maintenance principles
    • Ability to recognize issues and apply basic problem‑solving
    • Understanding of workplace safety practices, hazard awareness, and PPE use
    • Basic computer and record‑keeping skills
    • Strong organization, time‑management, and communication skills
