About this Position

The Assistant Equipment Operations Manager plays a crucial role in managing equipment, apparel, and laundry operations for assigned sports teams and departments. This position ensures that practice and competition needs are met while maintaining compliance with NCAA, Big XII Conference, and Athletic Department guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Health, Physical Education, Sports Administration or related field (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Two years experience in purchasing, maintaining and stocking athletic equipment at the high school, collegiate or professional level.

  • Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

    Athletic Equipment Manager Association certified or certifiable within 12 months of hire.

  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

    This position requires a strong understanding of team and individual sports-related equipment, purchasing procedures, inventory management, and commercial laundry operations. As well as requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage budgets, personnel effectively. Must be able to lift in excess 50lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's

    Administration and Supervision or related field

  • Two or more years in a similar D1 collegiate sport setting or at the professional sport level.
