Hiring Range

$50,400 - $78,750

About this Position

Assist in general supervision of the University Accounting Office including the accounts payable processing. Research state statutes, and serve as liaison to OSU's constituent agencies. Process and review procurement card transactions. Participate in the conversion of financial data from cash to accrual basis in preparation for financial statement presentation. Prepare various reconciliations and take appropriate corrective action.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's

    Accounting

    (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Univ Acct I - No experience required.

    Univ Acct II - Two years of related experience in accounting work involving the application of specific principles to individual circumstances, supervisory experience, specific knowledge of state law, authoritative accounting pronouncements, and university policies and procedures.

    Univ Acct III - Five years of related experience in accounting work involving the application of specific principles to individual circumstances, supervisory experience, specific knowledge of state law, authoritative accounting pronouncements, and university policies and procedures.

  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

    Computer skills Analytical skills for applications of various financial models.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's

    Accounting

  • Seven years of related experience, supervisory experience, specific knowledge of state law, authoritative accounting pronouncements, and university policies and procedures.

  • Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

    Certified Public Accountant certification
