About this Position

This position plays a key role in the planning and execution of athletic events by working closely with both internal departments and external partners. The Event Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between athletic teams and university stakeholders, ensuring that all assigned special events and game-day operations run smoothly from initial planning through post-event wrap-up.

This role will also act as the lead contact for designated events and will step into full event management responsibilities in the absence of the Assistant AD of Event Management. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, excels in cross-functional communication, and is passionate about creating memorable experiences for teams, fans, and guests.

 

Required Qualifications

  • High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Three years of experience in Special Events, Collegiate or Professional Athletics

  • Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

    Completion of the Ambassador Program or comparable.

  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

    Proficiency with various computer applications. Management skills/organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge with electronic lock software, credential program and day to day facility operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's
  • College Athletics experience. 4 years NCAA Division I Athletics
