About this Position

Maintain assigned areas in a clean and orderly condition in accordance with Student Union Custodial Standards. Will clean all areas of the student union as assigned by Student Union Custodial Department, which includes but not limited to offices, meeting rooms, public areas, hallways, elevators, stairs, and surrounding areas. Is knowledgeable and can perform those responsibilities of a Custodial I position. Will be considered the shift leader during their assigned time and area of responsibility; involved in the on-site training of full-time and part-time staff. Other duties as assigned. This position is heavy in manual labor and requires the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and in excess of 50 pounds occasionally. Promotional Opportunities may be available through an established career development plan.

Required Qualifications

  • No Degree 
  • Custodian I: no experience 

    Custodian II: Two years of related work experience

    Custodian III: Four years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School/GED
