About this Position

The Administrative Assistant for the Department of History at Oklahoma State University provides comprehensive administrative, payroll, purchasing, travel, facilities, academic, and departmental support to ensure efficient operations.  This individual serves as a liaison to CAS Business Operations and the Dean's Office. 

This position encompasses the History Department on both the Stillwater and Tulsa campuses.   

Required Qualifications

  • High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Five years of experience (post-secondary may substitute). 

  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
    • Ability to operate general office equipment; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
    • Strong organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with OSU accounts payable and financial procedures preferred.
