About this Position

The Center for the Future of Work is seeking an experienced person to coordinate executive, managerial and professional development of noncredit programs, consulting services, conferences, and credit courses. The Coordinator oversees all assigned programs with minimal supervision. The Coordinator works on complicated programs and/or conferences with multiple days and multiple speakers; oversees budget and financial information; drafts proposals for on-site programs without extensive overview; coordinates legal documents and is the direct liaison with OSU legal for consulting services; implements extensive marketing and promotional plans for programs and conferences. Key duties include handling the coordination and promotion of Consulting Services with clients. This includes: informing clients about consulting services; drafting and writing proposals; handling legal documentation in regards to consulting services with the client; working closely with faculty before, during, and after services.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's

    Business or related field

    (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • 2 years of related work experience

  • Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

    Valid Driver's License

  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
    • Demonstrated experience developing and executing programs in a competent manner with positive outcomes.
    • Exhibits the ability to bring new marketing ideas to the forefront in regards to assigned programs as well as the office.
    • Must have excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines.
    • Must be proactive and able to troubleshoot in real time with minimal supervision.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Four years event planning or hospitality experience. Prior experience developing and maintaining client relationships.
