ABOUT THIS POSITION

The Department of Finance within the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University (OSU) invites applications for a tenure-track Faculty Position in Finance at the Assistant Professor level. The position is scheduled to start in August 2027.

We are seeking candidates who can contribute to the excellence of our Finance program. We expect that the individual in this position will foster effective, civil, and respectful working relationships with the Oklahoma State University campus community.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

We will consider candidates with a Ph.D. in Finance. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to add value to the department’s research mission by conducting high-quality Finance research, as well as educational programs through excellent teaching. The teaching load will consist of two Finance courses per semester at the undergraduate level. We will consider candidates in corporate finance and investments. Interest in energy finance or financial planning will also be considered. Teaching responsibilities are primarily in Stillwater but may occasionally be at the OSU-Tulsa campus. 

Candidates must possess an earned doctorate by August 1, 2027.  Participation in service activities to the academic and business communities is expected and rewarded. We offer a competitive compensation package and excellent research support, including access to major finance databases and some specialized data sources, a minimum of 20 hours/week of graduate assistant support, and a research-active department with an excellent seminar series.

SALARY:
