About this Position

The Department of Economics in the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor position in Microeconomics and Public Finance or Energy Economics, with an interest in Game Theory, beginning in Fall 2027. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the department’s graduate and undergraduate teaching programs.

As a R1 research university, the Department offers Ph.D., M.S., B.S., B.A., and B.S.B.A. programs in Economics. Successful candidates are expected to demonstrate a commitment to inclusive excellence in education through their scholarship, teaching, and/or service. Candidates should have strong potential for serving on dissertation committees, for procuring external funding and for outstanding research leading to publication in internationally recognized journals. To be considered for the position, the preferred applicant will have completed a Ph.D. in Economics or a related area. Those close to finishing their degree (e.g., ABD status) will also be considered.
