Located at the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine at the Cherokee Nation, Tahlequah, OK.
The Wellness Coordinator at Oklahoma State University College of Medicine – Cherokee Nation (OSUCOM-CN) is responsible for implementing a total wellness program for the CHS-CN community, including students, staff, faculty, and residents located in the Tahlequah area. This position also oversees the direct operations of the campus fitness center and intramural sports program.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's
Health Promotion, Health Education, Public Health, or other health related field. (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
Ability to inspire and motivate individuals to healthier living choices.
Ability to work independently and supervise a team of employees.
Computer and fiscal management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's
Health Promotion, Health Education, Public Health, or other health related field
Three (3) or more years of experience working in higher education as a health education and promotion professional.
Involvement in planning, promoting, and administering a variety of health education and promotion programs on a college campus.
Experience in developing, teaching, and presenting wellness related classes and workshops.
Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
Certified as a Health Education Specialist (CHES) or nationally recognized Wellness Certification.
