About this Position

The Department of Languages and Literatures seeks a full-time Visiting Instructor/Visiting Assistant Professor of German to teach undergraduate German in the 2026-27 academic year. Ability to also teach introductory and/or intermediate French is desirable. 

Responsibilities:

Duties include teaching undergraduate courses in German and possibly French, promoting the German language program, and participating in various departmental activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in the language or related field is required.
    (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in related field.
  • At least one year’s experience in college teaching is preferred.
