About this Position
Assisting in biomedical research lab with primary responsibilities including supply and reagent ordering, tissue and cell culture, mouse colony management, animal dissection (mainly mouse), tissue preparation for histological analyses, database management and protein and DNA purification and analyses.
Required Qualifications
Other Professional Degree Biological or Biochemical Sciences (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
Two years post-secondary education and two years relevant experience OR BS/BA degree in one of the biological or biochemical sciences or equivalent experience and have superb organizational skills. The successful applicant should have familiarity with computers (PC or Mac). Experience with primary cell and immortalized cell tissue culture, molecular biology techniques and mouse husbandry.
Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
Experience with primary cell and immortalized cell tissue culture, molecular biology techniques, and mouse husbandry. While experience in at least some areas is highly desirable, experience in every area is not absolutely required as training will be provided
