The Research Assistant will support cognitive and clinical neuroscience research at OSU-CHS. The primary responsibilities of this role will include participant recruitment, assessment, data collection, and overall management of participants during the study. Additionally, the assistant will contribute to data analysis, manuscript preparation, and presentation of research findings.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct subject recruitment, including screening potential participants for eligibility and coordinating recruitment efforts.
Manage participant scheduling, maintain study records, and oversee participant compliance throughout the research period.
Conduct participant assessments, administer questionnaires, and facilitate data collection, including behavioral tasks and physiological measurements.
Assist in running experimental sessions, including preparation and supervision of participants during neuroimaging (fMRI) sessions.
Ensure data integrity and secure storage of collected data according to established protocols.
Additional Responsibilities:
Contribute to the preparation and organization of data for analysis.
Assist in performing preliminary statistical analyses.
Collaborate in manuscript drafting, editing, and preparation for submission to scientific journals.
Participate in preparing presentations and posters for scientific conferences and meetings.
Required Qualifications
High School/GED
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Public Health, a related field, or equivalent experience.
(degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
Familiarity with statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R) or willingness to learn.
Experience or interest in neuroimaging techniques (fMRI) is a plus.

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with study participants and research team members.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in research, particularly in psychology or neuroscience, is preferred.
