Postdoctoral Fellow – College of Arts and Sciences, Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma
The College of Arts and Sciences at Oklahoma State University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position within Prof. Sangita Sinha’s laboratory in the Microbiology and Molecular Genetics Department. This is a full-time, 12-month appointment with the possibility of renewal based on performance, funding availability, and college needs. The position is available immediately and will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.

Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in protein structure and function characterization and be experienced in using a diverse range of biochemical, structural and molecular biology techniques to characterize proteins and protein interactions. The current focus of the Sinha lab is to develop a structure-based understanding of how cellular autophagy is regulated, and how autophagy is dysregulated in infectious diseases, cancers, neurodegenerative diseases, and cardiac myopathies. The candidate will also have the opportunity to contribute to new collaborative structural biology research projects. The candidate is also expected to assist the PI in writing research proposals and provide mentorship to undergraduate and graduate students. The position offers opportunities for independent research development, manuscript preparation, and grant writing.
