About this Position
Responsible to perform duties related to checking in/out patients, scheduling patient appointments, call confirmations, verifying insurance while maintaining accuracy and compliance with departmental policies and State/Federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
Valid Driver's License
Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
Proficient in computer applications, particularly the MS Office Suite, with a focus on Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Skilled in typing and data entry, with a solid understanding of medical terminology.
Capable of managing phone communications while maintaining attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Strong customer service abilities, demonstrating professionalism and effective interpersonal communication with patients and medical personnel.
Experienced in collaborative team settings, knowledgeable about HIPAA regulations, and adaptable to new processes as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Vocational/Technical
Some college or technical school in a related field or six months related job experience.
Experience with EMR system (EPIC).
