About this Position

Provide classroom and clinical instruction for students enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.

Description of Responsibility

Teach assigned course(s), which includes clinical (clinical times may vary and can include weekends); participate in curriculum development, implementation and evaluation; serve on school and university committees; serve as professional role model for colleagues, students, and community partners; student advisement; team building skills; functions under the knowledge of one nursing program; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to perform the essential competencies of an RN; support mission and purposes of Langston University; other duties as assigned by site director and/or Dean.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's in Nursing (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Two recent years of clinical experience as an RN; previous teaching experience.

  • Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

    Licensed or eligible for licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Oklahoma (must obtain licensure before hire)

  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
