About this Position

The School of Entrepreneurship within the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University (OSU) invites applications for an open rank career-track Faculty Position in Entrepreneurship. Rank will be based on experience and record of achievement. The position, which is located on our Stillwater campus, has a flexible start date, but no later than beginning August 2027.

We are seeking candidates who can contribute to the excellence of our current group of entrepreneurship faculty.  The primary responsibilities for this position include teaching, professional practice activities, and engaging in service activities for both the School of Entrepreneurship and the Spears School of Business.  The anticipated annual teaching load is 6-courses (18-hours), with potential for a reduced load dependent upon formally assigned professional practice and/or service duties that go above typical expectations.  Candidates will also be considered for the Don R. Brattain Professorship or the International Entrepreneurship Chair, depending on qualifications.  The appointment is for four years and can be renewed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications: 

• A master’s degree in entrepreneurship or a related field.
• Extensive professional or industry experience in startups, venture capital, or other aspects of the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
• Can demonstrate the ability, or potential, to be highly effective at teaching a variety of entrepreneurship topics. 
• Proven ability to engage with students and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A PhD or DBA in entrepreneurship or a related field.
• Professional or industry experience in the areas of technology entrepreneurship, technology commercialization, or international entrepreneurship.

SALARY

Competitive and commensurate with experience and academic qualifications. The position is contingent upon available funding.
