About this Position
The Research and Financial Services (RFS) Office serves as the central hub for procurement and financial reporting within the Spears School of Business. The goal of our office is to support Spears’ departments, faculty, and staff with precision and care. We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being at the heart of day-to-day operations.
In this role you will:
Act as the first point of contact for financial and purchasing inquiries from Spears departments, faculty, and staff as well as other OSU units and external vendors.
Manage the RFS service email inbox which acts as the main communication channel for purchase requests, invoice submissions, and general financial questions.
Evaluate incoming inquiries, responding directly or routing tasks to team members.
Serve as a procurement agent for the RFS Office, reconcile Foundation accounts, and process bursar and OSU Foundation deposits.

Required Qualifications
High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
Financial Assistant I - No previous experience necessary.
Financial Assistant II - 1 year of related experience.
Senior Financial Assistant - 3 years of clerical/customer service experience.
Post-secondary education may substitute for years of required experience.
Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
Basic computer skills; MS Excel and Word. Organizational skills and basic knowledge of financial systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Accounting/Finance
3 years of clerical, customer service or accounting experience within a university structure. Post-secondary education may substitute for years of required experience. QuickBooks experience
