Position Details: This position is located in Ada, OK at the SE District Extension Office. This position provides financial and administrative support for extension educators located in the county extension office. The successful candidate will work with the Extension Finance Team as they provide financial services and complete financial related processes and tasks for all the counties within the district. This individual will:  
•    Maintain accurate financial records using Quicken and/or QuickBooks, including expense tracking, account reconciliation and budget monitoring.
•    Process and document all purchasing transactions in compliance with organizational and grant guidelines for county, area and district staff.
•    Prepare and submit purchase orders, invoices, and reimbursement requests
Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
•    Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and audit requirements as outlined by OSU policy, Extension Finance and the Associate Vice-President for Extension.
•    Perform and/or delegate database entry and management relative to extension programs.
•    Use knowledge and keyboarding skills of Microsoft Office and other computer software to assist in assigned daily activities.
•    Understand and interpret various OSU, County, and Extension regulations, policies, and office procedures for efficient office management. 
•    Act as liaison between county, district, or state offices as appropriate. 
•    Display courteous and effective communication while fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors, and responding to oral and written requests.
•    Have other duties as assigned and directed to enhance program support.

Required Qualifications

  • High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • 2 years of financial or accounting experience. Post-secondary education may be substituted for experience. 

  • Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

    Valid Driver’s License.

  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

    Proficient in Microsoft Office. Excellent people skills. Ability to multi-task; yet pay particular attention to details. Good organizational skills. Strong oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years of financial or accounting experience.
