About this Position

Spears Business is seeking a creative and strategic Communications Specialist to lead our digital marketing efforts across our social media, web and email platforms. This role sits at the intersection of content creation and strategic marketing, requiring someone who can craft compelling digital experiences while using data to continuously improve engagement and reach. This position serves as the primary voice of Spears Business on social media, the architect of our web presence and a key driver of our email marketing strategy.

The Spears Business marketing & communications team works to showcase our school's excellence in education, research and student success. We help position Spears Business for national recognition among business schools while connecting with our students, faculty, alumni and industry partners. Through our strategic and creative efforts, we tell the stories that matter and help build both our school's reputation and the lasting loyalty that defines the OSU family.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's

    Marketing, advertising, communications, journalism, public relations or a related field.

    (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Demonstrated experience in communications, including but not limited to production of web content, social media, video, writing, editing and content creation.

  • Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

    Position requires: Basic understanding of web sites operations, word processing with excellent spelling and grammar skills, and basic image manipulation skills.

  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

    Must be able to communicate effectively to interpret and implement suggestions and requests from Spears Personnel.
