About this Position
The School of Physical Therapy at Langston University invites applications for a full-time faculty researcher to support and advance research, teaching, and service missions of the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program (DPT). The candidate must have a strong background in clinical research and higher education teaching, particularly in research methods and basic science courses, and will also contribute to other areas of the DPT curriculum.
Essential Duties and Responsiblities
- Facilitate the research agenda for the School of Physical Therapy by:
- Leading and participating in original research projects independently and collaboratively with colleagues, students, or external partners.
- Disseminating research findings through peer-reviewed publications, presentations, and other scholarly channels.
- Mentoring students in the creation and implementation of research projects.
- Utilizing statistical analysis software such as SPSS for data collection and interpretation, and providing reports to the Dean on research progress.
- Supporting and meeting the scholarship standards required by accrediting bodies.
- Serve as the primary instructor for Evidence Based Physical Therapy Practice course and basic science courses.
- Serve as primary instructor for other courses as assigned.
- Serve as student advisor.
- Provide service to the University, School, and Department
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D./Ed.D. (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)

Teaching experience in higher education, and proven clinical research experience
