About this Position
The Administrative Support Specialist serves as the primary administrative support professional for the Department of Military Studies (Army ROTC) at Oklahoma State University. This position provides comprehensive administrative, financial, payroll, personnel, facilities, and academic support to ensure efficient daily operations while serving as the first point of contact for students, faculty, staff, visitors, and U.S. Army personnel assigned to the unit.
The position supports the Army ROTC Commander, military cadre, and university leadership by coordinating university and Army administrative processes, maintaining cadet and departmental records in accordance with university policies and Army regulations, and acting as a liaison between the department, College of Arts and Sciences Business Operations, and external military offices.
Required Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Four years of clerical, administrative, or customer service experience.
- Experience working within Oklahoma State University systems and procedures.

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
- Familiarity with university financial, payroll, and accounting processes.
- Ability to work effectively with military personnel and understand Army organizational structure.
- Self-motivated with the ability to provide continuity during frequent personnel changes.
