About this Position

This position is responsible for providing high quality front-line customer service to students, faculty, staff, and other guests who visit or contact the Office of the Registrar. Maintain a friendly and helpful demeanor at all times, even during periods of peak volume. Take the initiative to assure customers are always served quickly and accurately. Stay informed about the total operations of the Office of the Registrar as well as general information about OSU. Requires an excellent customer service attitude, and an ability to work and participate in a team environment. Back-up the Academic Records and Administrative Services teams as needed during intermittent periods of inactivity at the customer service desk. Specific: Responsibilities include assisting customers with Banner web services, processing special enrollment requests (ex: drop/add, cancellations, re-instatements, pass/no pass enrollment, excessive hours petitions, etc.), completing paper forms, fulfilling certification requests, fulfilling transcript requests, assisting with VA eligibility forms, fee adjustments, withdrawals, diploma requests, graduation status, course auditing, changes to personal information, Buckley flag maintenance, enrollment holds, closed matriculations, Banner PIN requests, and miscellaneous questions about the University. Transfer detail data requests and processing to the Academic Records or other team as appropriate. Back-up the Academic Records and Administrative Services teams as needed during intermittent periods of inactivity at the customer service desk. Any omission or misrepresentation of reporting known issues will be considered substandard performance.

Required Qualifications

  • High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Admin Supp Spclt I: One year of clerical/customer service experience. 

    Post-secondary education may substitute for years of required experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School/GED
  • Four years of clerical/customer service experience.
