About this Position

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

This position will facilitate learning for a custom Electrical Construction program at a public high school located in Tulsa, OK.  Courses are based on DC & AC circuit analysis, introduction to electrical trades, basic electrical wiring methods, and construction blueprint and specifications. Assignment begins April 15, 2026.

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate’s degree in Electrical Construction technologies from an accredited university or college, or certification from an industry recognized technical training program.
  • Other combinations of education and industry experience may be substituted for degree/certification requirements.

Experience:

  • Evidences a history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior.
  • Five years of evidenced Electrical Construction experience.
  • Teaching experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with diverse constituencies.

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

  • Valid Oklahoma driver’s license.
  • Electrical Journeyman license.
  • Preference given to an individual that is authorized to teach OSHA-30 general industry.

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to plan, organize and fulfill complex initiatives.
  • Computer skills to include electronic communications, word processing, and the ability to use specific software associated with the position are necessary.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of work, initiative, commitment, ethics, professional responsibility and judgment.
  • Ability to work effectively with and promote diverse populations.
  • Superior interpersonal skills—including the ability to effectively recognize and resolve complex problems in a constructive manner.

Communication Skills:

  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively recognize and resolve conflict.
