Responsibilities:
The person in this position will teach four courses per semester during the nine-month academic year. Courses to be taught will principally be writing courses, but could include AP Style writing, reporting or editing courses, Media in a Diverse Society, and/or Media and Information Literacy. Other courses could be assigned according to the applicant's area of expertise if those fit within one of the school's disciplines. If applicant has necessary skills, digital essentials courses could also be taught. The person in this position will also have service responsibilities to include committee work within the school or college.
This position would have a workload of 24 university-defined credits over 9 months.
The School of Media & Strategic Communications at Oklahoma State University is nationally recognized for producing outstanding practitioners in all mass communication areas and has been continuously accredited by the ACEJMC since 1948. It is one of the largest programs in the College of Arts & Sciences, the largest college at OSU. The school is home to a vibrant student newspaper and daily newscast.
