As a member of the OSU Agricultural Services unit, the TV Producer/Director is the primary editor for the half-hour weekly television show Oklahoma Gardening, as well as a member of our video team producing other media products on behalf of OSU Agriculture. The successful candidate will edit, color correct and mix and master audio using Adobe Premiere to produce a final broadcast master in adherence to broadcast and digital standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Solely responsible for finalizing and delivering episodes to OETA/YouTube. Lead and act as consultant in the design and creation of onscreen graphics. Import and organize raw footage. Work with the production team to determine the show’s content and direction. Coordinate shooting schedule with field producer. Direct onscreen talent. Work closely with onscreen experts to ensure their message is educational as well as entertaining. Serve as the secondary videographer. Fly and record drone footage. Work closely with other videographers to oversee technical and creative aspects of filming to ensure a quality recording. Create and export multiple versions of final show and each segment created for said show. View each export as a final quality check before uploading. Write descriptions of each segment for online use. Create thumbnails for online use. Create social media specific materials. Work with the video production manager to determine equipment, operational priorities and needs. Train and supervise co-workers, student workers and freelancers, if needed. In addition to technical expertise, the successful candidate must be detail-oriented, comfortable working with a team under strict deadlines, adaptable, adept at multi-tasking and a self-starter. Requires some travel. Duty reporting is in-person on the OSU campus in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Three years of experience required in broadcasting, television production, video production, communications, or related field. Years of post-secondary education will substitute for years of experience
Oklahoma driver’s license or ability to obtain Oklahoma driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
