The OSU New Product Development Center (NPDC), an engineering extension unit of the College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology at Oklahoma State University, provides Oklahoma manufacturers and inventors with university-based research teams to develop and commercialize new product concepts. These efforts may include evaluating the characteristics of existing products, establishing the status of technology, evaluating the business and financial implications of new product implementation, developing new products, updating a current product to lead the market, integrating new technology or broadening market shares with new product features.
The NPDC is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to work in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Senior Design Engineer provides the leadership necessary to achieve the mission and goals of the NPDC by managing and completing product development projects for clients. They provide expertise and guidance in the area of mechanical design, work closely with the project team and manager to achieve desired outcomes, and allocate resources appropriately to assure successful project completion. The Senior Design Engineer coordinates with NPDC business and technical staff to complete multi-disciplinary projects, engages cross-campus resources, and develops effective relationships with clients.
Good communication and laboratory skills, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Solid Modeling and project management Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
5 years industrial experience
Professional Licensing (PE) degree in any engineering field, project management certification.
