About this Position
The Research Services Librarian supports faculty and student researchers affiliated with the Office of Medical Student Research on the OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine at the Cherokee Nation campus in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. The position provides advanced research assistance and instruction to ensure expert support for academic health science and clinical research. This position also staffs the Medical Library Circulation Desk and promotes library resources during visitor tours (public speaking). Finally, this position provides testing center support by scheduling and proctoring exams in the library testing center.
To fulfill the goals and mission of the Medical Library, this position performs additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree - American Library Association accredited master's degree. (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
Knowledge of medical library best practices
Ability to provide medical library reference and instruction
Ability to perform and document library database searches
Ability to understand and document technical instructions
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues in a multi-site environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in an academic health sciences library.
One (1) year of professional library experience
