About this Position

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

This position plays a key role in supporting and advancing the strategic operations of the Registrar’s Office by managing the institutional course inventory in Banner, developing and maintaining both Banner and public-facing semester class schedules, overseeing the reverse transfer process, and coordinating the processing of incoming transfer student transcripts. The role contributes to institutional effectiveness through accurate data management, system integrity, and student record processing, while also collaborating across functional areas. Responsibilities may overlap with the Registrar’s management of international student enrollment, as well as course substitution and grade-related processes led by the Graduation Coordinator.

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate Degree from an accredited college or university required.
  • Other combinations of relative experience and education may be considered in lieu of degree.

Experience:

  • Proven history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior.
  • One to three years of relevant experience in a high volume customer service environment, preferably in a college or university setting.
  • Familiarity with Banner or other SIS operating systems a plus
  • Additional post-secondary education beyond requirements may substitute for years of required experience.

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

Licensure/Certification:

  • Valid Oklahoma driver’s license will be required if performing the functions of the position requires the use of a personal or university vehicle.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong human relations skills and a positive "can-do" attitude are critical.
  • Must exhibit ability to perform as a team player, assisting and supporting co-workers as well as the flexibility to be self-motivated and work independently.
  • Ability to complete tasks and special project on time.
  • Must be service oriented with ability to work and respond effectively to diverse audiences of internal and external students and clients, exhibiting high productivity standards.
  • Strong organizational and synthesizing skills as well as a demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrate high levels of adaptability to new and changing policies and practices within an evolving work environment.
  • Proficient with office technologies including but not limited to Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher), vax machines, scanners, etc.
  • Accurate typing/data entry skills and demonstrated ability to work with attention to detail.
  • Ability to train personnel in essential registrar functions and federal, state and OSUIT policies/practices.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor should be modeled at all times.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent listening skills and customer responsiveness are essential, continually incorporating feedback, ideas and requests.
  • Excellent phone and email communication and etiquette.
