About this Position

The Referral & Scheduling Specialist is responsible for coordinating patient referrals, scheduling appointments, and managing medical records to support timely and effective patient care. This role serves as a key point of contact between patients, providers, insurance companies, and external medical facilities, ensuring referrals are processed accurately, appointments are scheduled appropriately, and documentation is complete within the electronic medical record (Epic).

Required Qualifications

  • High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

  • Leadership, communication, customer service, multitasking, and computer skills are necessary for this position. Knowledge of proper cash handling/payment procedures is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vocational/Technical
  • Medical Assistant experience preferred.
