About this Position

 Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences is searching for a Psychological Technician / Psychometrist for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences to support clinical neuropsychology services. A successful candidate will be responsible for administering selected psychological and/or neuropsychological tests to children and adults in accordance with clearly defined procedures, under the supervision of a licensed psychologist or neuropsychologist. Assists in test scoring, collection, and recording of various test data for clinical and/or research purposes. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively work with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in all community.  

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's
    • Bachelor's degree in clinical psychology, school psychology, counseling psychology, speech and language pathology, or related disciplines is required 
    • Prior experience, pediatric or adult psychological testing is strongly encouraged.
    (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
    • Prior experience, pediatric or adult psychological testing is strongly encouraged.

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

  • Valid Driver's License

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

  • -Strong analytical skills, advanced multi-tasking skills, advanced problem solving skills, -
  • Supervisory experience, and the ability to effectively plan. 
  • Computer skills are needed to operate electronic medical records. 
  • Interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with faculty, students, clients and providers. 
  • Working with supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control. 
  • Gathering data, compiling information, and preparing reports. 
  • Maintaining confidentiality of records and information. 
  • Working knowledge of psychological and behavioral test scoring protocol, procedures, and standards. 
  • Conducting structured behavioral observations. 
  • Documentation in client/patient chart of date, length and nature of service (i.e., descriptive/factual progress notes).
  • Other duties assigned by supervisor.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's
  • Psychology or related field.
  • Past experience in administration of standardized psychological tests, or formal training in the administration, strongly preferred. 

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

  • ADOS certification, Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification is strongly encouraged to apply.
