About this Position

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

This position supports the Sr. Manager by performing various administrative and organizational tasks to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Will oversee the management of the work order system, assigning work orders, follow up, etc. Will be the point of contact for outside contractors and scheduling repairs with outside contractors. Other key responsibilities include coordinating meetings, managing project documentation, tracking progress, preparing reports, facilitating communication, and assisting with budget and resource management.

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate degree in Project Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Other combinations of education and experience may be considered if relevant.

Experience:

  • Proven history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior.
  • Experience at mid-level business management and/or higher education work environment recommended.

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver’s license if performing the functions of the position requires the use of a personal or university vehicle.

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively.
  • Ability to handle multiple work priorities simultaneously and work with minimal supervision in a highly self-motivated manner.
  • A foundational understanding of project management principles.
  • Familiarity with project management software, as well as office suites (i.e. Microsoft Office).
  • Knowledge of business level composition and office management skills.
  • Experience with data entry and database management.
  • Excellent writing and organizational skills, including the ability to develop and improve existing systems.
  • Promptness, reliability, sound judgment, and ability to complete tasks in a timely manner is essential.
  • Must possess personal productivity abilities in creativity, problem solving, persistence, and accountability.
  • Must be flexible, innovative and self-motivated.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

Communication Skills:

  • Strong written and oral communications skills required. 
  • Excellent listening, customer service and problem-solving skills are essential, continually incorporating feedback, ideas and requests. 
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively recognize and resolve conflict.
