Hiring Range

$17.00 - $22.25

About this Position

Coordinates the warehouse for gently-used durable medical equipment (DME)/assistive technology (AT) that will be re-distributed to Oklahomans. Responsible for sanitizing, refurbishing and repairing of reusable DME as well as evaluates the viability of donated DME. Responsible for proper disposal of any non-viable DME. Manages inventory, barcodes DME, tracks distribution and the value of equipment/assistive technology.  Supervises 1 FTE and future volunteers to ensure their duties are met with greatest expectations, including the pick-up and delivery of equipment, cross trained on training consumers on proper use and maintenance of equipment, and follows all OSU guidelines and policies. Repairs DME and coordinates with outside vendors related to complex repairs or the proper disposable of equipment. Maintains all required records on equipment and consumers. All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High School/GED
  • Four years of work experience. Post-secondary education may substitute for years of experience. 

  • Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

    Complex Rehab Technology Repair Technician certified within 6 months of hire. Valid Driver's License

  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

    Able to lift up to 50 lbs, operate mechanical equipment, climb high ladders.

    Experience in DME repair, understanding of mechanical and electronic components of DME. Experience working with individuals with a broad range of disabilities and/or functional limitations with specialized knowledge of durable medical equipment. This individual will possess strong oral and written communication skills necessary to interact with individuals with disabilities, state agency personnel, DME contracted vendors, disability related organizations staff, family members, as well as with programmatic partners. Experience with various Microsoft Office software and inventory management systems. Must have the ability to multi-task and in a fast-paced environment. Experience supervising employees and volunteers.
