About this Position

The Process and Risk Analyst identifies and evaluates financial and operational processes that may create risk exposure for the OSU A&M System. This position analyzes the likelihood and impact of potential risks, recommends and supports mitigation strategies, and helps improve processes to increase efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. The role supports continuous improvement by aligning daily operations with institutional goals and the OSU A&M System mission. Identify processes or procedures representing financial/operational risk exposure (or review processes/procedures forwarded for analysis), perform analysis on the expected severity/frequency of impact, and propose/implement any needed mitigation strategy. Streamline or eliminate processes, improve quality of work, increase customer satisfaction and align daily activities to help the OSU A&M System meet its mission.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's

    Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Organizational Management, Public Administration, or related field.

    (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • One year of experience in business process review, operational risk analysis, compliance, internal controls, or administrative operations.

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

Knowledge of business processes, operational risk, internal controls, and administrative procedures. Ability to review and document workflows, identify process gaps or risk exposure, evaluate potential impacts, and recommend practical improvements. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

Lean Six Sigma, project management, internal audit, compliance, risk management, or related business process certification.
