$17.00 - $20.00

About this Position

The Parking Maintenance Technician maintains and enhances parking facilities managed by Parking Services.  This position performs hands-on maintenance work, including repairing parking assistance devices, cleaning parking facilities, and servicing minor equipment.  In this position, the role supports the Parking Maintenance Lead by collaborating on department-assigned tasks, such as maintaining the Orange Ride Program, and assists the department with customer service duties.

Required Qualifications

  • High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Two years of experience in general trades, maintenance, or a related facilities field.

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

  • Must possess a valid driver's license prior to hire and maintain a valid driver's license throughout employment.
  • A valid driver's license is required to operate an OSU vehicle, which is necessary to perform assigned job duties.

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of general maintenance principles
  • Ability to recognize issues and apply basic problem solving
  • Understanding of workplace safety practices, hazard awareness, and PPE use
  • Basic computer and record-keeping skills
  • Strong organization, time-management, and communication skills
