About this Position

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

This position is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the university motor pool and fleet vehicles. 

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate degree from a regionally accredited college or university required.

Experience:

  • Evidences a history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior.
  • Three to four years’ experience in a service station or motor pool operation and general knowledge about vehicles and vehicle maintenance.

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

Licensure/Certification:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver’s license.
  • Must possess Class A CDL license.

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively.
  • Ability to handle multiple work priorities simultaneously and work with minimal supervision in a highly self-motivated manner.
  • Good computer skills with emphasis using excel spreadsheets.
  • Good mathematical skills and ability for accurate and timely reporting is essential.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be knowledgeable in the use of power tools.
  • Position requires that employee be able to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, bend, reach, and have use of all limbs.

Communication Skills:

  • Must be able to read and write and follow directives.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent listening skills and customer responsiveness are essential.
