Officed in the heart of campus, the OSU Student Union, this position reports to the Manager of Operations and Strategic Initiatives, while working closely with the Division of Student Affairs and the campus-wide Career Services network to manage all internal and external marketing & communications efforts for the department. This individual will develop communications for multiple different audiences (students, alumni, staff, faculty, stakeholders and employers), while ensuring brand consistency and exploring available avenues to maximize exposure. Manage a team of student employees to ensure graphic design quality and social media reach for all programs, events and services.
Promote Career Services through written communications, digital media and social media accounts as appropriate. Lead special projects and assist with other Career Services tasks as requested.
Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Ag Communications or Strategic Communications
(degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)Six months of experience in publications, news media or related.
A strong working grasp of current strategic communications and marketing, including public relations, social media, content creation (including some video production) and campaign management, among other communication skills. – Demonstrated knowledge and skill in Adobe CS as well as working knowledge in production – Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications – Knowledge of typography and photography – Excellent customer service and organizational skills – Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects – Work effectively with individuals and teams -Exhibit attention to detail and high degree of openness to new approaches and ideas A strong working grasp of current strategic communications and marketing, including public relations, social media, content creation (including some video production) and campaign management, among other communication skills. – Demonstrated knowledge and skill in Adobe CS as well as working knowledge in production – Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications – Knowledge of typography and photography – Excellent customer service and organizational skills – Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects – Work effectively with individuals and teams -Exhibit attention to detail and high degree of openness to new approaches and ideas
