Responsible for various maintenance needs of building. Inspect and analyze the condition of all buildings and installed equipment. Complete reports, follow up, preventative maintenance, and all other aspects of building management. Assists all areas of Facilities Management and Operations, including carpentry, MEP, Preventative Maintenance, Equipment install, temperature monitoring and other miscellaneous repair and maintenance activities; and respond to emergency and urgent work. This position has the ability to learn and log hours under a Stationary Engineer and has the opportunity to obtain a first class limited stationary engineer license.
Required Qualifications
High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
3-5 years in one of the following disciplines; carpentry, facilities maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, engineering, operating equipment

Assist all crafts assigned by Supervisor.
Expert knowledge in performing tasks is not expected.
However, over a period, the Maintenance Mechanic should develop to the point that s/he can complete tasks independently.
Perform all phases of general, aesthetic, and preventative maintenance within supervisor’s guidelines.
Responsible for assisting with projects mechanical and EMP related.
Make repairs to general facilities to include, but not limited to, general carpentry repairs, perform minor paint and patch work, repairs to ceiling and floor coverings, doors, windows, and furniture.
Repair or replace various plumbing fixtures and hardware.
Unclog sluggish or stopped drains.
Safe lifting practices and procedures.
Knowledge of light fixtures and various types of bulbs and ballasts.
Ability to assemble office furniture, hang large white boards, bulletin boards, etc., and experience in the use of hand and power tools. Consciousness of safety procedures.
Provide excellent customer service.
Work overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
5 + years in one of the following disciplines: carpentry, facilities maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, engineering, operating equipment.
