About this Position

The IT Technician provides professional and technical expertise to support enterprise technology services, ensuring alignment with OSU/A&M System goals, compliance requirements, and departmental priorities. This position is responsible for performing specialized operational, technical, or analytical tasks within the assigned domain.

The IT Technician is an entry-level role designed for individuals beginning their careers in information technology. You will gain hands-on experience across a wide range of IT domains—including hardware troubleshooting, software installation, customer service, and operations. Team members rotate through different service areas, developing versatile skills with support from training and mentorship programs. 

Required Qualifications

  • High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
    • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge: 
    • Must be able to life at least 50 pounds. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with Windows, Mac, Android, or iOS is a plus but not required.
    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Critical thinking and customer service attitude.
    • Ability to work well under stressful conditions.
