About this Position

As part of the IT Technology Support Team, the IT Executive Support Specialist resolves any related customer issues and documents all customer service requests for the assigned executive offices that IT supports. This includes working with the other IT groups to resolve issues and to implement effective solutions to meet the customer’s needs. The position assists customers on an on-going basis and is tasked with being available for immediate response to urgent customer needs. This includes working in a proactive manner with customers to develop long-term strategies for the efficient and effective use of all IT-related services. Technology Support team members are assigned service topics, document solutions regarding those topics and are responsible for the quality of information contained within. This includes the analyzing of documented incidents for trends and updating associated documentation as needed. This position may be required to be scheduled along with other Executive Support Specialists for on-call/standby status to support after-hours and weekend emergencies. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with clear, grammatically correct English. Requires interaction with supervisors, colleagues, and students using tact, discretion, and independent judgement. Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.

Required Qualifications

  • High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • A combination of education and experience may be met through either: (1) High School/GED plus two-years post-secondary education and two years related experience, or (2) High School/GED and four years of related work experience.

  • Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses: Valid Driver's License required.
  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

    Must possess some technical knowledge regarding computer operations, including proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing hardware and software issues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's IT or Communication
  • Two years of technical writing

  • Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

    Professional Technical Certifications (A+, ITIL, HDI or others approved by management)

  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
