Hiring Range
$17.00 - $21.00/hr (contingent upon available funding)

About this Position
Skilled work in the operation of various types of heavy equipment, including operating a backhoe to expose utility breaks or to install new utility lines. Operate an end loader to backfill ditches or load trucks. Operate the sand spreader to control Ice and snow on streets and parking. Grade surfaces with a box blade and drive a dump truck. Operate street sweeper. Operate yard crane to load or unload large pieces of equipment, perform related tasks as required. Service equipment and advise the foreman of needed repairs. Ensure digging permits are properly completed before digging.
Provide routine labor to support projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before the agreed-upon start date)

Two years of experience in the operation of heavy equipment listed in B-3 or similar equipment in the construction or agricultural industries.

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
Have before hire and maintain after hire, a valid driver’s license. A valid driver’s license must be maintained for the operation of an OSU vehicle, which is required in the performance of job duties as assigned, and a Class B Commercial Driver's License.

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
Ability to read, write, and follow oral instructions for work orders, work completion, and scheduling.
Ability to become proficient in the use of “AiM” Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software and the use of mobile technology.
Ability to lift in excess of 100 pounds.
