Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, 6:00am-3:00pm with occasional evenings and weekends.

Hiring Range

$14.31 - $14.88 Hourly

About this Position

Performs semi-skilled duties required to maintain University grounds.   Includes:  mowing, weed eating, watering, planting, picking up trash, general clean-up of facilities, and other assigned duties.

Required Qualifications

  • High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • 6 months’ responsible work experience.

  • Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

    Valid driver’s license.

  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
    • Ability to read and interpret routine written or printed materials such as labels on chemicals (mix chemicals), basic charts, diagrams or instruction material for equipment.
    • Ability to effectively use maintenance, garden and hand tools, sprayers, etc
    • Ability to follow and ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate diplomatically, clearly, and effectively, both verbally and in writing to exchange information, give/receive instructions and respond to inquiries appropriately with all students, faculty, staff and community partners.
    • High degree of initiative to work independently and also collaborate in a team environment.
    • Passion for assisting customers and representing the OSU-OKC and OSU brand with positivity and professionalism.
    • Demonstrated history of ethical and professional behavior.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year responsible work experience.
