About this Position
The Graphic Designer works closely with the Housing and Residential Life Communications Coordinator to provide support in the creative communication, graphic design, videos and overall strategic marketing for all Housing and Residential Life projects. Design services will reflect established graphic and visual standards, based on university, departmental and program philosophy. The graphic designer works independently and creatively to design and produce unique, attention-getting marketing materials and is the lead designer. Delegates work to student staff, provides constructive feedback, and oversees timeliness and create work. All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
two years of work-related experience. Post-secondary education may be substituted for years of experience.
Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
Competency in use of Adobe products (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe Acrobat).
Exhibits knowledge, understanding and basic skills in print design and typography.
Demonstrated knowledge and skill in Adobe Creative Suite for PC Platform. Knowledge of digital and print design, typography, photography, videography and animation. Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
This position will require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Graphic Design, Advertising, Marketing, or related field
Seven years or related work experience. Experience with Sprout Social, Trello, and Omni is preferred.
