About this Position

The Food Aide supports the daily operations of the dining unit by providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, and ensuring accurate cash-handling procedures. This position assists the supervisor with opening and/or closing procedures, restocking, and training part-time staff. The Food Aide maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment by following all food safety and sanitation standards. This role contributes to a positive dining experience for guests and helps ensure efficient, high-quality service throughout each shift.

This is a full-time position with a schedule determined by the unit’s hours of operation, which may include occasional weekends. Limited or no hours may be scheduled from mid-May through mid-August unless additional work is available. The position requires regular physical activity, including standing and walking for extended periods, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

    ServSafe certification after hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School/GED
  • Experience in basic food preparation and related food service work, with strong customer service skills.
