About this Position
The Research and Financial Services (RFS) Office in the Spears School of Business is a centralized office dedicated to all aspects of the School’s financial operations.
This position:
- Serves as the RFS Office’s initial point of contact for inquiries and purchasing requests from Spears departments, faculty, staff, OSU departments, and vendors.
- Monitors and manages the RFS service email, which functions as the primary channel of communication between RFS and all other Spears departments and their vendors. This hub of virtual conversation funnels requests for purchases, status update inquiries, and receipt of vendor invoices, among many other items.
- Assesses the inquiries, purchase requests, and other documents received and appropriately responds to and/or delegates tasks to co-workers.
- Serves as an RFS Office procurement agent, reconciles college Foundation accounts, and processes frequent bursar and OSU Foundation deposits.
The ability to multi-task and delegate tasks, as well as initiative, attention to detail, and a customer service attitude are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)

Financial Assistant I - No previous experience necessary.
Financial Assistant II - 1 year of related experience.
Senior Financial Assistant - 3 years of clerical/customer service experience.
Post-secondary education may substitute for years of required experience.

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
Basic computer skills; MS Excel and Word. Organizational skills and basic knowledge of financial systems.
Preferred Qualifications
