About this Position

This position is an integral part of the events team and works closely with the group to plan, organize, and execute successful events, managing logistics, vendors, and ensuring client satisfaction.

The Event Coordinator provides support to the events team in coordinating and executing various internal and external events. Assistance with such events include but is not limited to providing support for any external groups renting spaces on either CHS, OSUCOM at CN, or OSU-Tulsa. This can include day of support. Other events include commencement week activities, white coat ceremonies, etc.

This individual will assist events team with meeting with clients to discuss their event needs, setup, and day of event needs. This individual, on occasion, will serve as the point person throughout the event planning process.

This position would assist with various on and off campus events and work closely with the events team to input any project request forms.

This position would have office hours at CHS, Tahlequah and OSU-Tulsa campuses.

Extensive travel including overnight stays will be required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's
    • 4 year BA or BS college degree preferred (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Two to three years' related experience preferred

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

  • Drivers License is required 

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

  • Proficient use of computer is required for data entry, e-mail communication
  • Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Have excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's
    • Prefer experience in event planning, customer service, or hospitality

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

  • Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Have excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Customer service skills are required
