About this Position
The Director of Applications Development and Enterprise Systems provides visionary leadership and strategic oversight for the planning, development, integration, and reliable operation of OSU/A&M enterprise applications and business systems. This position translates institutional goals into technology-enabled solutions, driving innovation, operational efficiency, and service excellence across academic and administrative functions. Reporting to the CIO, the Director manages a diverse team of IT professionals, fosters collaboration across the institution, and ensures compliance with governance, security, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
Five years of related work experience.
Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
- Strong leadership and communication skills (written and verbal, grammatically correct English) - Ability to work independently and collaboratively with discretion and judgment - Knowledge of application development lifecycle, enterprise system integration, and IT governance - Availability for after-hours work and continual mobile accessibility
Preferred Qualifications
Master's
Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Experience in personnel management in a technical operation; experience with application development and enterprise systems management.
Experience with OSU systems including Banner infrastructure, integrations, operations, and business process automation
Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
ITIL, PMP, or equivalent industry certifications
Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
Advanced knowledge of higher education IT practices, enterprise application architecture, and emerging technologies
