About this Position
This position is based on the Oklahoma State University campus in Stillwater, OK. It is an office-based position; remote and hybrid work are not currently an option for this role.
Fire Protection Publications is a mission-driven, values-based organization dedicated to the production of high-quality educational content for the international community of firefighters and first responders. The person in this role will be responsible for duties pertaining to Digital Curriculum Development for Fire Protection Publications.
Major Responsibilities
As a Digital Curriculum Developer (Spclt Technical), you will:
Develop, proof or edit limited curriculum components for the FPP Curriculum Team.
Develop digital presentations to support instructors teaching from FPP/IFSTA manuals.
Edit and proof digital presentations created by other developers according to department style guides and checklists.
The individual will be responsible for ensuring that developed material meets high quality, accuracy, and accessibility standards.
Complete tasks by deadlines.
Grow and maintain professional competence by actively participating in professional development.
Participate in meetings conferences and workshops or other events associated with FPP.
Timely communication of task status and needs with team
Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
Four years of prior successful work experience. Post-secondary education may be substituted for experience.
Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
Ability to work from a file server in a shared network environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office suite including PowerPoint.
Ability to take direction and work with teams.
Highly organized
Ability to set and maintain schedules
Attention to details
Time management
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's
Bachelor's degree in Language Arts, English, Technical Writing, Technical Editing, Journalism, Adult Education, or Occupational Education fields.
Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, project management systems, and web conferencing.
Excellent time management skills.
Experience with long-form and short-form editing.
