Job Summary: 
This position will be a member of the Digital Team, part of the Dean's Office in the Division of Agriculture at Oklahoma State University. This position will be located at the Stillwater campus, some hybrid/work from home days will be considered. The incumbent will work with the Associate Director and Senior Director of Integrated Digital Strategies as well as other stakeholders including faculty, researchers, Extension educators and staff members to increase the reach, visibility, and impact of Division programs. 
 
As a member of the Digital Team staff, this person will update and design web pages using various content management systems such as Omni CMS and Sharepoint and ensure web accessibility standards (WCAG AA) are met. They will evaluate the performance of web sites and web content using analytics platforms, assist in transitioning websites between content management systems, revise content for the web, edit photos, quality check content, and review pages submitted for quality assurance before publication and digitally distribute internal communications. They will also remediate documents to ensure accessibility standards are met. Other duties as assigned.  

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Management Information Systems, Communications, Marketing, Multimedia, or related
    (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Experience updating and managing websites using a content management system is desired. Experience in remediating and testing electronic documents (PDF, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and websites for Section 508 compliance using both automation testing tools and manual testing is also desired. 

    • One to three years of experience managing web sites, remediating documents, and creating digital content.  
    • Demonstrated experience in accessibility standards, knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WGAG) 2.0/ 2.1 standards and guidance, experience remediating documents in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, experience using web technologies including, but not limited, SharePoint, HTML, content management system use, web design, image editing, editing and content creation.   
    • Good interpersonal communication skills. 
    • Experience in remediating and testing web pages and web applications with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0/2.1 compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
    • Experience in training and creating material/processes for both customers and developers. 
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
    • Outstanding interpersonal and analytical skills. 
    • Ability to work independently on projects and contribute to project team efforts. 
  • Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
    • Valid driver's license   
  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
    • Generally, tech-savvy and very computer literate 
    • Web content editing via a content management system, basic HTML skills a plus.
    • Good eye for design, ability to choose appropriate web content placement, and document remediation experience. 
    • Ability to write in a clear and concise manner   
    • Familiarity with Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat Pro, web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Word, Excel and/or Google Docs. 
    • Good interpersonal communication skills.  
    • Ability to work independently and organize projects and contribute to project team efforts. 
    • Accessibility remediation 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's in Communications, Multimedia, Management Information Systems, or related field.
